Scar House, deep in the Wexford countryside, is a collection of different gardens, each one filled with personal touches, symbolic meaning, and a strong bond with nature. The garden weaves together over twenty distinct spaces — from a tranquil Zen corner and a kitchen garden to a wildlife pond, a tree house, a firepit, a Japanese garden and a Mediterranean garden.
This year, we've got a new Celtic garden, the Japanese garden got a makeover, we added a butterfly garden, and the pond house is now a garden library.
Nuala and Paul look after the garden. They aim to create a space that feels special, calm, and enchanting. All the gardens, art, and structures were handmade by the owners. Many visitors leave not just refreshed, but inspired by the garden to try something new in their own gardens.
